Obviously you haven't been following too close. He would like to find the previous owner not because it's his fault but because if the previous owner can varify that the trans. was shot and Tim Gray knew this, Johnny931 would have a very good chance of being successful in a lawsuit against Tim Gray. It might be a long shot, but is certainly worth trying to find out. I can't understand why people respond to a post and attempt to read the minds and convey the thoughts of other forum users. If you don't like a thread, who's making you read it? It makes no difference if Tim Gray didn't pay a dime for the machine. He sold the machine and described it to be in good operating condition and it had a major problem. If Johnny can prove Tim knew of the problem, he can either get his money back or get the repairs paid for. For $8000 plus in repairs, I'd sure try to find out as much as I could about the previous owner and the machine. Dave
