I'm glad you weren't hurt more than just a scratch. Saw one of those fibre blades explode years ago on a commercial cement saw cutting seams in a newly poured street. He was leaning on it trying to steer it a little and BANG!
Bought a bunch of three inch cutoff wheels to use in my unshielded die grinder. They were from some cheap parts house and had a habit of flying apart. After a part of blade stuck in the front of my leg I threw the whole batch away. Then I bought an air cutoff tool with a shield. Jim

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
