Bought my neighbors IH 606. It was surrounded and almost covered with household, er no junk. Had sat for 2 or more years. I knew it had a blown head gasket. Checked radiator full of antifreeze , no water in oil. Two new 6 volt batteries and old fellow found the owners manuel as I had said I would need one to check fuel system. I know not supposed to look at book till I had tore something up!!.Bled fuel system and according to book loosened return line from pump. Also removed one injector line. After short cranking periods got fuel and bubbles from return, later fuel from injector line. Glow plugs inoperable, starter switch hanging on 2 wires. It did light up, not bad for blown head gasket. drove 1/2 mile home.TA even works. Just as got in my drive fuel return became study stream. Now for couple hours with pressure washer , send head to machine shop remove head studs check block warpage stone if necessary . Lots of rigged wiring to repair and I should have a very good loader tractor with down pressure hyd dump bucket. going to beat the hand clutch DC case with home made loader!!
