On Tractor Related----I did some work on my 364 IH lift. The lift cover gasket was in poor condition and I called the dealer for a new one. He didn't have it in stock and it was $28.00 ??? or so, and would take two days to get it.
I went to an automotive supply store and purchased a sheet of 1/32" gasket material and hammered out my own. Just as good and the cost was less then $10.00.
Of course some people don't have time to make a gasket but I have made many, many gasket and it has got me by many times.
