About 4 weeks ago we planted some radishes and onions. Then we got the freeze and ice, but luckily it didn't hurt anything as it only lasted a few hours. That was 2 weeks ago, and it's been spring like since then. The grass is green and the trees are coming out full of leaves. Today it was a wonderful 80 degrees, so I went out and worked on the little vegie garden. Usually I just till it and plant but this year I put the tractor back there with a root plow and then a single plow. The area is really too small for the tractor (Ford 3000), but I wanted to save my back this spring. This area is only 16 feet wide and 60 feet long so it was a PITA backing the tractor in there each pass, but hey it worked! Then I rigged up a piece of PVC pipe and began putting some Rio Grande River water down the rows. In a few days when it dries some I'll get it planted (with whatever the wife says to plant). And just before dark we pulled some more radishes. I had to get a picture of the bag full from tonight, looks like I'll be giving a bunch away as there is no way the two of us can eat all these! To you folks up north, hang in there......the warmth is heading your way.....it really is!
