Clean the gap with emory or match book striker and regap it. Spray WD-40 or carb cleaner on it and use compressed air to blow it clean. Beyond that if it doesn't stay clean enough to run you have other issues which you probably already knew. I remember the bench mounted blast cleaners - I think they were Snap-On made or AC??
Funny anecdote/repair advice I read on marine website. Grampa can't start the boat motor, pulls the plug to see if it's fouled. Grandkid says "Gramps how do you know if it's fouled?" Grampa says "hold it in the palm of your hand and lower it gently into the water, turn your hand over and slowly open your hand and open it. If the plug floats it's not fouled." That being said - buy a new plug, they are only $1.50 at Fleet Farm!
