Playing Area
�The area of play is designated as being 48 feet from back board to back board, and 40 feet from metal stake to metal stake. The stakes should be between fourteen and fifteen inches in height above ground level. The pit surrounding the stakes is to be no larger than three by four feet and should be filled with sand. A pitching area in front of the pit should extend no more than twenty inches and be the width of the pit itself.
