Jeff is sort of right, the Dexta engine is based on the Perkins P3.144 The F3.144 was a major development of that engine, built to Ford specifications, with blocks and heads cast by Ford at Dagenham ,that were finished and assembled by Perkins in Peterborough. The F3.152 as used in the Super Dexta is a development of the F3.144.To call the Dexta engine a Perkins engine, underestimates the work and development that Ford put into it.IMHO, Ford cast the block and heads, so its a Ford engine.
