Just curious, what part of the country you are from? Seems like most early 9N's I've are east of the Mississippi.
I've heard that the first 800 or so had the aluminum hood, side panels, battery cover, and grill, but I don't think anyone really knows for sure the exact number. I guess value depends on finding the right person and the condition of the tractor (especially the hood), but it is definitely worth more than a later steel hood 9N, which range from $500 to $2500 depending on condition. I saw the one on Ebay and was suprised it brought that much, as it needs a lot of work and was missing some original parts. Right people at the right time I guess, but as my dad says, "There has to be a buyer", and evidently he found a couple. Being a Ford guy, I'd still like to own one though.
