My EX FIL had a black English Sheperd named Sam. He was passed around to anyone that wanted him until I was stationed in MO and lived in the boonies. Took him with us and he went everywhere I did. Went to work and would run PT, set back and watch the formation and hang out in the motorpool with whoever called his name and gave him a pat. I've found the Australian Sheperds to be about the same if they aren't bred too much. Scary smart too.
