Well it was a some what bright sunny day here in CNY with brisk wind and temps in the freezing range. (above in the sun, well below in the shadey side of the mountain vallies. The snow on the ground is like concrete, and loaded with frozen water. The lakes in the Pics. West Caroga, and The Great Sacandaga are still iced over. The large streams, like the West Stoney Creek and The Sacandaga River, North of the GSL are partially open, so the chanch of flooding is minimal unless we get a bunch of warm rain, however the weather watchers are saying that we have the chance of another significant winter weather event moving in Friday. Time will tell! To appease the site purist's I included a pic of a 1960 Case 811B which I discovered that my customer owns. (only fitting as it is in the Adirondacks and I am the Case guy) His PV system is is rated at 4515W, and he aproaches (Net Zero, to Net-plus) anually, here in the NE. He and I are designing a Solar Thermo system, so he can leave his home for a period in the winter and not have to worry about keeping wood fires in his outside wood boiler going or burning large amounts of oil.. I bet I will be able to post a pic. of snow the frist of June this year. Stay tuned.
