I am firmly convinced all those canned penetrants are more hype than results. Had a bunch of nuts that needed removal, a few years ago. Since I had a selection of penetrants setting on the shelf, I tried several. Applied several times over a couple week period. Kept track of which one was used on which nuts. Didn't make any difference. None actually penetrated the threads. Included were WD-40, and PB Blaster. They were none better than a little common ATF, or plain oil. Did not try acetone, and oil mix. My best results for some uses is heat with a propane torch, and melt candle wax into the threads. Then work back and forth to loosen before working it too hard.
