I know how you feel. I just had to replace a drive motor on my skid steer. I was able to cross it to the Eaton number. But I was not willing to bet several hundred $$ on the part I needed (shaft) was the same between the old Cessna unit I had and the new Eaton shaft. Just like you no one would back it up.
I don't know how soon you need it, but if you have the time just look around. Nothing wrong with the broken one becoming the good parts unit on the shelf. Who knows you might run across a dead one and get just the part you need. If you need it now, well, I guess your options are limited.
I did manage to find a NOS one I needed online at a surplus store. But I had to buy a complete unit. So now my perfectly good motor with broken output shaft sits on the shelf (good internals and case) for parts if ever needed.
