Animals never stop amazing me........... We breed horses and have a stallion for obvious reasons. We have a gelding to keep hiom company during his off time after the last mare is bred. Almost there, so moved some horses around today so he'd be close to but not with the stallion so they could get used to each other without the usual fighting. Both in paddocks with gates in the back yard.Gelding's gate is latched with a chain and slot, stallion with a pin type latch with heavy spring (handle facing outside). I left, came back an hour later to barking dogs and the two horses standing sidfe by side like the best buddies eating grass. Gelding had got his gate open somehow (tongue I guess) and had opened the stallion's gate. My afternoon plan was to mow the grass back there but don't have to. Having a beer and telling you folks about it instead.
