Well, there"s no pasture in my pasture for the sheep to graze on..... Going to be a month or so before the grass gets up to have a little headstart. I expect to be feeding hay all summer.
I got the plowing I needed to do done earlier this month, and now things are at a standstill. Cold and wet, and I can"t get back on the fields. Need to do some disking and cultivating before planting my oats. Think I"ll need the duals on the tractor to even attempt to get back out on the fields. Maybe son can help me with that tomorrow.
Wife and I went half-way across the state to visit her uncle Thursday. (Central Michigan to Port Huron.) Didn"t see any opened up fields where it looked like any farmers had gotten out to start tillage yet. Uncle passed away Friday, so this next week is going to be a lost cause for field work as well. Funeral and forecast for rest of week not favorable.
