I kind of had it in the back of my mind that there was something more to this. I do remember finding eggs in the haystack when I was a kid, that were old and they were just dried up inside.
The butter tub is open topped and the garage is getting reasonably warm for the contitions we've had this spring. I'm just leery of keeping it in the house just in case. Some of those old eggs in the haystack did not dry up and I haven't forgotten the smell after all these years. Sorry, Rich, didn't think of posting this on Friday. Maybe next year.
