Chickweed, henbit, creeping charlie. Easy to get rid of in cool season grasses, contact your cooperative extension service, they will have a list of what chemical controls each weed, in cool season grass. Problem in Zoysia, is that most broadleaf chemicals take the color out of it, if the zoysia is actively growing. If the Zoysia is dormant, just hit the lawn with roundup, at label rates, won't hurt the zoysia, at all. ZOYSIA MUST BE DORMANT, IF YOU ARE NOT SURE, DO NOT ATTEMPT! In the old days, in April, around here (central MD) you could light your dormant zoysia lawn on fire, and kill out all the weeds, thataway, but that wrks too well, the gooberment must put a shtop to zat, too much global varmingk und all of zat!
