Those "record profits" don't take in any overhead. They are still turning about a 7% profit...after overhead. That fella runnin around bangin the drum on evil oil, evil anyone or business making over $250K...before overhead, is going to get his, because this time he HAS a record, and it aint a good one.
Think about this for a second, in the name of a greener, prettier earth, as is being painted. We aren't producing oil, but loaning two South American countries $2 Billion a piece to produce oil for us to buy from them, instead of ourselves, and just told all of the oil producing countries to step up production...so we could buy and use it. Does that make green sense to say we won't produce it to keep ourselves green, but then tell someone else to produce it so we can use it and still be green? Just said it yesterday. How about this? Just said yesterday as well that we need to raise taxes on the oil companies, because thats what he does, propose raising taxes on everyone, including dead people (reinstate death tax), which will drive even more oil companies out of America, and put even more people out of work...so we can purchase more foreign oil.
And in closing, that same guy that pits Americans against Americans, whom is now going around to college campus after college campus because he won't address the adults paying the bills as he digs for campaign contributions, is now blaming speculators for driving up the cost of fuel, based upon a warring Middle East, but used Executive Order to ban exploring or drilling anywhere in the US, where no wars are speculated to drive up prices.
The oil companies turn a 7% profit after paying overhead. How dare they? How dare they? Next thing you know, he will be condemning people for taking vacation when others can't afford it, and then they will be in his crosshairs. And who after them? Our presidents are elected to serve everone in our nation, not pit others against others, and others against others, and so on, and so on, and so on.

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
