Ive never got one of those red light camera tickets before, but if I do I will plead non guilty and ask for a trial and then I will ask that the witness for the state be present so I can confront my accuser and be allowed to cross examine them. If no such person steps forward capable for cross examining, I will ask that the case be dismissed, but if I am found guilty I will appeal the decision on constitutional grounds. Then I will accept the ruling of the higher court and conform to their holding.
Dont get me wrong, I respect the law and if found guilty and afforded "due process" I will "do the time if I did the crime" subject to usual safeguards. It just sounds over reaching and too much of a nanny state to me.
This is NOT legal advice and its likely not worth a hill of beans, I'm ONLY saying that would be my approach and I have NOT researched the constitutional issue whatsoever. So if you try this and are found guilty dont come runnin to me lol
