It is simply fantastic. We need more cameras. In the streets , in each home and in peoples bedrooms. All monitored by some company in Arizona that gets half of all money collected. We could eliminate all crime and punish any offense. Better yet even implants in peoples brains and if they have an impure thought we'll just zap it or drown it out. This is such a fantastic idea , I should write a book about it. Oh shoot , I guess somone already did that. It is not about redlights folks. It is about basic individual rights , limits on government intrusion and government by the people. This is all recorded in a couple of old papers. The Bill of Rights and the US Constitution. The fact that a particular means of enforcement is less costly or more effective or generates more revenue is not the proper parameter of analysis.Rather whether it is amenable to government abuse and excess , the certainity of accurate enforcement and the infringement of peoples rights is the far wiser and safer course of action. Why can the police not enforce traffic laws ? Is endowing the government with even more powers really in anyones best interest ? Yes the airlines will be safer if all passengers are strip searched. Why don't we do this ? Because it is wrong and the law shall be enforced by the least intrusive means reasonably available.
