Maybe things are different here, but these cameras (speed) have to be calibrated real often. And, the picture you get in the mail has frt and rear plate, pic of the driver, speed, and calibration date. Red light cameras work off a sensor in the road. show the same pics but only trip after two axles pass the sensor. I've stopped with one axle over and backed up which tripped the camera. No ticket because the pic also showed that I was behind the line. Someone set up a camera in a common trash can that is set on the curb for pickup. That video was circulated on the WWW and all folks didn't speed when trash cans were along the road. I know of one camera at a red light in my area, but several other empty boxes (all look the same).
