When I put the addition on this house I never dreamed it would be 3 years before I had a kitchen floor again. Plywood floor is hard to keep clean so I painted it over and over. Sheesh! Finally last week I found some tile that I liked and so made a little progress. I really wanted a light green but it seems everything I liked was $15/sq foot or better. Cripes. Finally I wanted a floor and color wasn't an object any more! Got these closeout tiles for about $6 a foot and made do. Picture still shows a lot of grout residue but I'll clean it up tomorrow with some vinegar. I set a lot of tile for a living. The hardest thing is doing it in your own home.
