Still the land of the free isn't it? Although, this IS a private forum and I guess the moderators can do anything they like.
What REALLY bothered me about the article was that it was even written. Here we have the #1 most wanted man in the world with a multi-million $$ bounty, DEAD OR ALIVE, on his head and CNN (and apparently others) are questioning the legality of killing him in a combat raid????!!!
Talk about Monday morning quarterbacking. I suppose the Navy Seals should have each had a lawyer accompanying him (no offense to you John T or my atty daughters ) to advise them on what was legal and what was not legal as they were busting into that room. "Show him your warrant" "Read him his Miranda rights before you shoot him"
I'm kind of waiting (NOT) for someone to bring the Seal who shot him up on charges.
This discussion is NOT about politics. It's about an event that makes it a little safer in the long run for Americans (and the rest of the world) to live their lives. Now most on this forum are probably pretty safe from the average terrorist. (Don't think you have to worry about going out into your fields and starting your JDs and MFs and hitting a buried IED. See, this topic IS about tractors). I'm sure there will be some revenge attack somewhere that blames the US killing of Osama for its occurrence but at least we know it won't be him planning and ordering it.

The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
