Gents, I have been referred to you by Hugh MacKay from Canada who reckons you could help me. I wonder if you could give a bloke with a Super W6 that he knows nothing about, but would like first to get it going to use it on his bit of ground he recently came across, then later, make it look a bit more like an original, just a little bit of time and direction please. I'm looking for a bit of info on them, starting from history, specifications, to an engine layout and electrical diagram, but really just what I need to do to get her going: it's been going up till about 5 years ago I'm told. Would I need to do anything with the (magneto?), or put some oil down the bores, and what grade of oils to use, types of fuel (mine is a petrol model), would it need to be a leaded fuel, and suchlike things? Any tricks or quirks I ought to know about. Valve or ignition timing, etc. 6v or 12? Anyway, hoping to hear from you. You might not have heard, but the country town I come from, called Cootamundra, 250 miles from Sydney, is hosting around Easter what they hope will be a world record ploughing attempt. They're trying to get together 3000 rigs to work at once in a big paddock outside town. I wont be there, but I'm going to try to get my Mum to go, see if she can chase up any Super W6's! Thanks, dave thompson upper root hog bathurst, ozo

It increased the farm productivity and, in general, made life easier because more work could be done with this 'mechanical beast'. My dad dreamed that some day he would have his own tractor with every implement he could get. When he rea
