We have a 1976 Chev panel van with a 350 engine. It runs great except when you turn it off after running it for an hour or so (to gas up or similar). It will be totally dead in the water. Turn the key and absolutely nothing. We let it sit for about 1/2 hour and it pops off like nothing was ever wrong. This van has only 72,ooo actual miles and did this for my parents when they had it too. HELP! What should we look for? Anyone else had this problem? I know this is not a tractor related item, but also know that some of the best mechanics work on old iron. We are Deere-heads ourselves. Thanks for the help.
