I am not the only one who does not see any relelvance to your post. I am trying to help the original poster by telling him what is more than likley wrong with his tractor rather than some crazy and impossible theory. Just trying to keep him from chasing his own tail here.

I really hope that the poster figures his tractor out.

I'll check the bubble thing, but no I haven't touched the valves yet other than when I first got the thing I could'nt get compression on cyl #1 an I found out the pushrod fell out from under the rocker arm. I just pushed it back in and had compression again.....
