Isn't that a narrow front end?
What part of TX? Remember, we take up about a third of the country!
I'm down at the bottom, very bottom. Notice the green grass / weeds in the pictures. The pictures were taken today.

Yes, the 740 is the Row Crop (High Clearance) version of the 600 series Ford (134 engine). This one has the 2 wheel narrow front.

I'm in Lampasas (Central Texas). I thought 956 area code was down in South Texas.

Ah yes, good old Lampasas. Beautiful country up there. I hope your not near any of the fire danger, seems pretty bad from about SA north I hear. We had lots of strong wind today, but we are pretty green here right now. We had about a week of bad fog last week, so things did green up nicely just from that little bit of moisture. We have flood irrigation here and I flooded the yard around the barn a few days ago after mowing real low, no sense in risking anything.

Several days ago you posted a problem with your tractor. Seems that it was missing on one cylinder. Did you get it going and what was the problem.

Howdy JD,
I finally was home for a whole day today and actully managed to take some time out to look at the Ford again. I just sat down here and am catching up on Emails etc. and shortly plan to post what I found, or actually didn't find. Watch for a new post later this evening with the same title as last time, "3 cyl. diesel running on 2 cyl."
