I'm just gonna throw this out here. Is it possible to weld repair the block & head by a reputable block repair company located in your area. I've seen some amazing results here on the west coast by different companies that specialize in that. I know there shipping involved with that. Just a thought. bjr

BJR--- My engine went to a shop where they can identify and repair cracks the right way. they put the whole block in an oven till its red hot. weld while hot, return it to the oven and cool very slowly. They advised me it would be cheaper to find a good block and head. Doug
