Tube was tight fit in oil pump plate. I had to make a gasket for it. To get the tube in I loosen the oil pump plate inserted tube then tightened all back down as evenly as I could. I think pan could have been bumped and dented by previous owner. I see one repair weld in pan about two inches long. Has anyone ever had to maybe make a new tube out of some of the maleable (soft steel hydraulic tube) tubing or can a new still be ordered from Ford dealer or aftermarket somewhere? I'll try and body and fender the pan a smidge to expand for the tube, I need like a half inch to get pan to mate to the block. Thanks for the pictures, I see I need to put the support clip on suction tube back on, I think it's still in the parts washer or parts bucket. bjr

I think the tubes are still available from FNH. Did they come off ok, or was it bought apart?

Oil Pan is On in reply to john_bud, 04-10-2006 13:03:15
Thanks for the pictures and help. I did some body and fender work on the pan. The recessed trough was dented in where the tube lays when the pan is on. Also I didn't have the tube slip coupling end inserted quite enough. So through a combination of things I was able to get the pan on. It's still a close fit. Now, I'm trying to come up with a engine mount stand fixture to be able to run the engine on the floor before assemblying to tractor. I would rather fix things before being attach to the rest of the tractor. Well thanks again bjr
