I came across a Ford 841 Powermaster with 4wd and powersteering, winch on rear. This tractor is restored. Does anyone know the history on the 800 fords? The 4x4 appears original, was this an original opition on these tractors, must be rare, I have never seen an 800 with 4wd. Any input would help.

The Elenco company that made the aftermarket 4x4 unit for the Ford tractors is now owned by Tony Jacobs. He visits this site when he can. If you do a search of his name on this site you will find all the info you need on these tractors.

The link is just one of many post by Tony.

There were 2 of these at Wolgemuth's auction, in Leola, PA when I was there today. I think they sell parts today, and whole tractors tomorrow. Would be interesting to see what they go for when they are sold.

I don"t know the history of them but , I sure am envious of guys who have the Elencos . I"d love to have one . They make a great tractor for power & traction in hilly areas .Good luck & God bless, Ken

Well first off the 800 series and the 801 series are to different tractors. One was made from 1955-1957 and the other 1958-1962. The 801 is the later one. As far as the 4 wheel drive that would be after market not something that was on it when new but could have been dealer installed. So rare no uncommon yes.
