What was the purpose of the flex-o-hitch and how did it work?

awhtx,
Was kind of no big deal actually.
The lift pins are hooked to the A frame on the disc by a pair of links. Supposed to allow the disc to float better - side to side, up and down.
This is a picture of a page in my 201 parts book.
Not the best view but gives you the idea.

OK, I saw one of those at an auction this past Saturday and I thought parts were missing because the "triangle" with the hitch pins kind of flopped around loosely.
