Did you know the word is PREVENTATIVE? So he missed a letter, open your eyes you are not in a perfect world. Only one man was perfect and He died on the cross for you!!!!! !!!!

I guess if it comes to splitting hairs, preventative is no more correct than preventitive, since "preventative" technically isn't even a "real word", at least according to Webster's Online, even thought it is commonly used, or actually misused. So everyone referencing it in this thread is wrong, regardless of spelling. Typing in "preventative" refers you to the ACTUAL word, which is "preventive". Makes sense when you think about it. Preventative maintenance would be done to "preventate" something, and "preventate" sure isn't a word.
