In recent days in Mississippi I have seen these tractors priced from 9,000 to 9,200 which might be high. I have a 1975 255 row crop with multi-power and no hydralics. I would not price it at $7,000 as it might sell and then I would have to replace. I purchased in 1976 and it has given great service. It does have new rear tires that are no more than 5 years old. In looking for a loader for this tractor I offered a man $8,500 for a clean 255 diesel row crop with a Bush Hog 2426 loader with QT bucket and pallet fork. He was asking $9,200 and declined. I have now purchased a new 2426 with bucket and pallet fork for $5,000 and am investing another $1,700 in the hydralics to increase the flow for the loader. I would think the tractor alone could go for anywhere between $5,000 to $7,000. You could likely give more if you knew the tractor and it was in great shape with relatively new tires. Since I have had mine for 28 years I think they are great tractors. That's my reason for adding hydralics and a quality loader.
