Mike not even have a tractor.

Mike is the same fellah who posted the libelous joke.

Mike posts under even more nics, attacking Dell, on this board and other boards.

Mike is totally dishonest so you should just dismiss his questions as insincere.

Mike does what he can to tick-off Dell with libelous jokes, inappropriate comments about Dell and his ex, profane names, and then complains the gruff Dell is 'mean.' I've seen this same stuff many times on this board. Mike is a snake and you should take your hoe after him, not offer him help.

Between you and me, Mikeis a craphead and you should ignore him. His type won't hang long unless they get attention.

That is most likely Mike's problem you know, Dell gets attention the craphead craves but can't get on his own merit. His type tears down the people around so he can feel better than those people. He can't do it by improving himself so he runs down everyone else.

I think Dell is playing it smart as he is not responding. Maybe if nobody responded to mike in the future he would go away as he is sick and this is the only he can get attention

Maybe Mike is one of the Gang at Dave's place. They are doing their Annual Grant's Mountain get-together this weekend. Nothing wrong with having fun, but let's leave Dell alone, OK? He is really an asset to this board! Answers several questions every day, some the same ones! Cut him some slack!!

That's interesting. I imagine you're on to something.

As for slack...I don't know about that!

My dad was a grouch and someone needed to call him now and then. I would and we would both get over it. People are people ya' know. We got along better after I started calling him when he was a jerk, actually. I don't feel sorry for Dell, he's who he is and he's got broad shoulders...although I'm not sure they are his most 'broad' feature these days...teasing Dell...just teasing.

Now Mike, well he's way over the line and says more about Mikie than he does about Dell. My experience is that the bunch Mike is in with will trash someone for some reason after they get done with Dell and Kim. This is about Mike, not Dell.

This sort of activity was taking place several years ago. Always will , in a free society. Alternative=Censorship, which is bad!! Kim seems to have deleted the post that started this whole thing, which will cause other folks to wonder what we are talking about! You should have been here back during the "Tractor Wars"..was pure mayhem back then! I have nothing against folks having fun, but let's keep it relatively benign. Dell does not deserve the harassment. He is asset to this board, and we don't wanna see him run off!!! My opinion only!!!

Oh, I was here when that bunch ran off to make another board. Was that the 'tractor wars' or was there another blow-up? Oh, it doesn't matter. I got my say in, maybe it's best to let it drop. Those fellahs have heard from me long before now anyway.

Way before then!! Several years, in fact! Many years too many! They ran off a few good folks.

Reoccurring mess, huh? in reply to cargocult again, 08-08-2004 10:27:06
You mentioned a gettogether. I wonder if Mikie traveled and got on someone elses puter to spew his crap?
Probably afraid he would get his ip address banned but not worried if one of his comrades' ip was banned.
I hope he didn't screw over someone.

Check out the bashing I got over on the Ford board for clarifying coil connections.

Bob,

Great job in your "bashed post". I was around the electron tube era and heard about/read/studied/used proper polarity in cathode/heater terminals.

Never thought about spark plugs, but you are exactly correct in your analysis about thermonic emission of the center electrode.

You handled your basher very well. Can't say I'd have the intestinal fortitude to do that.

I too was wondering what the Mike A thing was all about so I typed the handle in the archives and found the 12v conversion conversation on 8/7. Now I know what went on.

When a person asks for help and then refuses to do what is offered (for whatever reason), one has to ask why the post in the first place?

Bob, very nice explanation of the coil polarity theory. I was an automotive teacher at a tech. center for over 20 years, and your theory is dead on. As you said, just check it out on a scope. I usually would see approx. 5000 more volts to fire the same plugs if the polarity was wrong.
It's nice to see someone with knowledge reply on this board.
Thanks again.
Lucas

That was nice...not.

Well you know guys have good days and then they have bad days. Some more than others. You get close to people you'll notice only the most very sweet people don't ever show up grouchy. Rare indeed.

All and all, this board is tame to lame, as boards go.
