(Russ: not really replying to you. But I want this at the bottom of the thread and don"t know any other way to make sure it goes there.)Since you have three tractors, you"re going to have your hands full. May I suggest a triage situation? You know tractor number 1 overheated and was run until it died. This is BAD BUSINESS. Especially if the tractor heated to the point where the grease and oil depostits on the side started to bubble. So, I would do a compression check on this tractor. Even money it needs a head gasket. Then, I would do compression checks on the other tractors, check the ammeters for correct ignition system operation, and remove the sediment bowls and examine the contents for rust. I"d also pull drain plugs and check for correct fuel flow. That way you can start on the best tractor first. This will greatly decrease the frustration factor. Just an idea, not written in stone.
