Just a comment : If you are using the OEM Ballast R 3.65V would actually mean that you have LOW current because of additional resistance(other than Coil) in the Pigtail to ground path. The OEM ballast will limit current to 2.8 amps or 2.8 Volts as measured across the coil only (top terminal to the Pigtail) Regardless of what some pll think they have measured their coils a good OEM coil operates @ 1.0 ohm

If you are using an Auto Ignition resistor your current MAY be 3.65 Amps which would make it ~ 4.2 amps when running @ 7.5 volts. The WC (worst case) Key left-on would result in ~ 16 Watts.... That may be safe on a 6V system.
