Hi,

You can try 3M's Adhesive, Tar and Wax Remover. You probably can find it at places like Home Depot. Certainly at most auto parts stores. An 8 oz. can goes a long way. I've had one for about 15 years and most of it is still left. Also makes a great way (the best IMO) of removing the stubborn adhesive residue you now get after you scrape off price tags. I'd be a little cautious with fresh paint however. Note the reference to cured in the advertising. Try it somewhere it doesn't show first. You may have to wait until the paint fully cures if there is any discoloration, loss of gloss or other obvious damage.
