It's either a clear sealer or a clear adhesion promoter. They sell both , but only to fools! You don't want OR need either one. Ask people who have done paint work , not people who SELL paint products. There's a ton of CRAP out there and a ton of "sales profesionals"????? out there waiting to dump it on you.

Not true. Some new plastic parts (no paint) need special primers, some of which are clear. I learned that the hard way. There's also a solvent used for adhesion in hard to scuff areas like jambs and blends. It's a cousin to paint remover. Etching is clear.
