Hi Don, I have no particular knowledge about SW automotive paints. I understand that Martin Senour (NAPA) products are identical but with different packaging and marketing names. In looking at the SW website, they seem to have some different chemistries (e.g. alkyd urethane?) that appear to be hybrids of the basic chemistries that I am more used to from PPG or DuPont. The one thing that I can recommend is once you have settled in on your topcoat, to first buy the smallest amount you can in order to verify the color shade you want with an actual sprayout. There are nine different formulas for AC persian orange in the SW line of Dimension. You can get them here. AC only had two persian oranges, an early, pumpkin shade and a later shade that is more reddish. I know one of the formulas listed indicates it is "persian orange #1" but I personally would want to see an actual sprayout sample of it prior to spending much money. It doesn't have a "supplier" listed against it so it's my guess it's a custom formula that someone had made from a sample - of unknown condition. I have no idea why there are so many formulas for basically only two shades of AC persian orange, the early one and the late one. Are you sure you cannot get NASON in mixed colors at your local supplier? DuPont code YS074 (spectramaster yellow) appears to be very close to that early pumpkin shade of persian orange (perhaps a bit brighter). There was an actual sample sprayout on this forum not long ago by Jason. You might want to look at this thread. The YS074 should be available at your local DuPont dealer. IF not in NASON, then in CENTARI, which would be a step up IMO. Rod
