Before anyone gets all worked up about altering and modifying these old tractors stop and think about it, the ones that are, just made the ones that are not, that much more valuable. I personally collect and have restored pieces that I show and have detailed right down to the square headed bolts and cloth covered spark plug wires, an example is my 1938 BI one of 183 built. I also have modified unstyled B pulling tractors with modified bores and stokes doubling the original cubic inches. I take both the BI and the pullers to shows and get allot of nice complements on both and the interesting part is, when they get done looking at the BI they take pictures of the Pullers and don't the rare mint restored antique. Go figure!! If it makes anybody feel any better I built both my B's and many others from bare bone parts and the tractors that these parts came from had already been sacrificed for parts tractors in salvage rows. Just to let people know that when they see a pulling tractor that don't always mean a rare antique was sacrificed. I my case it is just the opposite. The important thing is to have fun with what is yours and don't worry about what the other guy thinks!! Dave W.
