Where's the line between pickup & med/heavy conventional? The CXT is just a med w/a pickup box.Wolf in sheep clothing. What about driver qualification, ability, licensing?Air brakes?Been jambing up com drivers with tests, permits & rules-Change the name and its ok? My guess it'll open a new can o's__t for states, lawyer's,public.

Now that I've had my fun.

My sister and brother-in-law are vagabonds (gypsies). They have a 350 powerstroke 4 door 4wd and a 30' 5th wheel. He added a new under carriage to the trailer (heavier) and put a rack on the back to carry his mechanics tools. He does mobile home/camper repairs in the parks where they stay..... pulling a heavy rig. Travels the USA so is exposed to all sorts of environments.

Has a life membership to 1000 trails.

He really needs more than the 350. A 450 or 550 would do him nicely. One has to assume that there are others that have a legitimite need for a bigger p/u and Detroit is finally listening..... with their wallets open (of course).

Mark

Detroit has been listening for a long time, it's just now they're building "yuppie-mini-semis", in addition to the medium-duty under-26,000 GVW trucks they've been building for a long time. If I needed something along that line in order to haul big loads, I'd be finding a good used Top Kick Lo-Pro with a 3126 Cat in it. They're good trucks, and probably go for half what that International lists for when new, let alone a used one. You could sure as heck buy one for less than what a new 1-ton pickup would run, and have twice the truck. It's just another niche truck for the boys with too much money.

You called that one right. In fact, between the hood and bed, it looks like a Hummer..... ..... .
