I used to own a 424. It has two places for hydraulic/trans oil. I don't know about the power steering because mine did not have that. The transmission and the hydraulics are separate on the 424. You should use HyTran in the hydraulic reservoir and either 90w gear oil or HyTran in the transmission. I think I used HyTran in my Transmission. I don't recall the capacity of the hydraulics, but it was less than the tranny. Also, my tranny held more than what the book said(which I recall was around 7 gallons). I had to go back and get another 5 gallons of HyTran because it took around 9 gallons to get it up to the level plug on the transmission.
