I'm working on a C that had the same problem. Some time, the thing must have been wrecked, because several other parts besides the bolster were broken. Mine was broken around the big plug that holds the worm gear and bearing in place. The throttle control arm on the governor and both the top and bottom radiator connectors that bolt to the block were broken. All this had been fixed by welding and I did not know it when I bought the tractor. I knew the steering was loose, but assumed it was bearings. I found replacements for all of it at a salvage yard. I'd certainly recommend replacing because it will be very hard to get good tight steering doing welding. I got my bolster with steering gear in it for $100. I took it completely apart and all I had to replace was the steering shaft seal. The salvage yard I got mine at also had one for a B. Don't know where you are, but freight probably use up most of the $65 difference.
