A Cub made in 67 should easily handle a 5 foot deck in 2nd if the grass isn't too thick.This post brings back fond memories as I learned how to drive and mow on a 67 Cub. I'll try to help with your problem now. If you have blowby under load there are oil control problems. I would check oil rings & expanders.Also valve guides. In short,you probably need to do a motor job.Really the only way to fix blowby.
