We could argue all day about which wire goes where, but I dont thuink it would ever be settled, but I will tell you my experience with this coil thing.IT DONT MATTER!!!I have them hook up both ways and it runs and I havent replaced coil in three years.Maybe Ive been lucky so far but I havent replace one in three years.I remember on my Dads M,which would sit nearly all winter and the battery would go dead or we would take it out to use in something else, when I would put it back in Id always ask him Posor neg to ground.Hed always say ot dont matter and every time Id put it in different and it would start and run all spring and right till fall with no problems!Just my .02!
