I am in the same situation. I just installed a Saginaw hitch purchased second hand (hence no instructions) last weekend. My questions are: 1. can the 3 pt hitch be mounted to the brackets that hold the original draw bar to the rear axle housing? Or would it be better to get new bolts and mount the hitch directly to the rear axle housing? 2. My tractor has the "selective lift control unit. Is there a clean setup that will take advantage of this feature? I was hoping to have a way to change the ammount of lift at each hydraulic cylinder. My thinking was that I could then tilt a scraper blade to change a grade... Then I looked at the hitch and there is a torque tube that connects both sides of the hitch and makes them lift together. Is there another way to tilt blades and box scrapers, or am I just dreaming? I think I saw a system that would tilt on an old Ford. The hitch on that tractor had two hand cranks to raise or lower each side independently, I think.

There are many types of cylinders that one might run across on a farm scenario. Each one could take a chapter in
