I have used a Woods L306 on a Ford 9N for about 10 years for mowing 3 1/2 acres. I just checked the sheet, and Woods approves it for up to 40 HP. If the belt is properly adjusted, it should be able to hold an M back. :-) I wasn't careful with adjustment on mine and a new one flopped over and tore up last year !@#$% I had just paid $100 + tax for that belt about 2 weeks before. Once it has run sideways, it will never work again. George
