This tractor does have a generator and not an alternator, correct? If it has an alternator do not try to polarize anything. If it has a generator you need to determine with a vom if the battery polarity has been reversed. If the battery polarity is still correct you need to mount it correctly and if the tractor has a generator you can polarize the generator and see if it starts charging correctly. In you earlier post, I was never clear as to whether the charging system was working.
