Looking for words of wisdom as I prepare to over haul my Farmall 300 High Crop PTO. It is working fine right now, but the main purpose (long term) I have for this tractor is to drive a 25KVA PTO Generator and a Brush Hog. That will take all 40 HP's at the PTO to drive the Generator and I figure after 44 years of service, it may need a "tune up". The band adjusters are below 3/8's of a inch from the top of the locking nut. I would prefer to replace the needed maintenace parts - versus chewing it up the first time I need it to really work. I have my shop manual and it seems straight forward to replace the bands, what other parts are commonly worn out and need replaced, I'd like to get most of the common parts up front - lessen my down time now that we have a cold spell again. Thoughts - suggestions - words of advise - prayers.... Source for parts? Thanks Dave
