I read the archives and still seem to have problems comprehending "lag angle." From what I gather, the lag angle is set in the magneto. The only way to change it is by taking apart the magneto. I replaced the condenser and breaker points in my mag. The book calls for 35 degree lag angle. Did I mess up the 35 degree lag angle by replacing the points and condenser? This is on a 1949 M (American Bosch Corp. Mag). The M was getting hard to start. I found the hold down bracket on the condenser was broken. That is why I replaced the points and condenser. If the lag needs to be reset, I have a magneto shop I can take it to. Any help would be appreciated.
